We include a scheduled transfer from Santiago International Airport (SCL) every Sunday. Someone from our team will be waiting for you at the arrivals terminal. The drive takes approximately one hour. If you arrive on a different day, we can coordinate a private transfer at an additional cost.
Accommodation is in Farellones, approximately 10 minutes by road from El Colorado. It is on-mountain lodging, fully coordinated by SH upon request, with all meals included. On good snow days it is also possible to ski down from El Colorado to Farellones at the end of the training day.
Athletes wake up at the lodge in Farellones, have breakfast and head up to El Colorado for the morning session. Training typically begins with course inspection, followed by structured gate runs coached by our technical staff. After lunch on the mountain, there is an afternoon session focused on specific technical work. The day ends with video analysis and debriefing, followed by off-snow conditioning before dinner. Athletes are supervised by coaches throughout the entire day.
Yes, access to FIS races and the South American Cup circuit is available upon request. This is one of the unique advantages of training in Chile during the summer, athletes can compete internationally at a time when most of their competition is off snow.
The minimum level is a confident, self-sufficient skier who can handle any terrain on the mountain safely and in control. All athletes must bring appropriate protective equipment. For SL: helmet, back protector, shin guards, chin guard and mouthguard. For GS: GS-certified helmet and back protector. Ski and boot equipment requirements are more flexible.
Our Head Coach leads all technical training on snow, and our Head of Operations is your main point of contact for everything logistics related, from the moment you land in Santiago to the last day on snow. Once you confirm your registration, our team will provide full arrival information and direct contact details for your stay. You can also reach us at any time at contact@shracingcamps.com.
Entry requirements depend on your nationality. We recommend checking with the Chilean consulate or embassy in your country before travelling, as some nationalities require a tourist visa. All athletes must have valid travel health insurance for the duration of their stay. Our team will share a full pre-arrival information document with everything you need to know once your registration is confirmed.
There is on-site physiotherapy support available throughout the camp. El Colorado and the surrounding area also have several medical assistance centres on the mountain. Santiago is approximately one hour away with hospitals nearby.
